Peace and mercy of Allah be upon you...
Today, by the will of Allah, we are with the 38th Hadith from the book Riyadh al-Salihin,
Introduction Chapter – The Chapter of Patience
(38) It was narrated from Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) who said:
"I entered upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was suffering from a fever.
I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, you are suffering from a severe fever!'
He said:
'Yes, I am afflicted with fever as much as two men among you are.'
I said, 'Is that because you will have a double reward?'
He said:
'Yes, that is so. There is no Muslim who is afflicted with harm, even the ***** of a thorn or more, but Allah expiates his sins because of that, just as a tree sheds its leaves.'
Agreed upon (by al-Bukhari and Muslim).
