Welcome to today's Hadith — the 52nd noble prophetic Hadith from the book Riyadh as-Salihin (Introduction Chapter – The Chapter on Patience)
52 – Narrated by Abu Yahya Usayd ibn Hudayr (may Allah be pleased with him):
A man from the Ansar said, "O Messenger of Allah, will you not appoint me to a position of authority as you have appointed so-and-so and so-and-so?"
The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied:
"After me, you will see favoritism. So be patient until you meet me at the Basin (Al-Hawd)."
Agreed upon (by al-Bukhari and Muslim).
