Hadith 57 – The Fourth:
From Abu Thabit – and it is also said: Abu Sa'id, and it is said: Abu al-Walid – Sahl ibn Hunayf, who was a participant in the Battle of Badr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever sincerely asks Allah for martyrdom, Allah will grant him the status of the martyrs, even if he dies in his bed."
